I was playing in a L.A. Band called Talisman: Steven de Flores worked daytime as a medical distributor for Hospitals and I joined him sometimes. During the drive we would snore all kinds of stuff and get high : so that one day we drove to the Valley and it was burning hot. I saw that Nurse and just came up with that song…so ever since then I carry around that audio cassette with that song on it: recorded with a tape deck in a rental rehearsal spot in Van Nuys.
Now I let my Grammy top secret singer : do a lady version: with her amazing voice and piano…..the song has not lost its energy actually and it is perfect for you to listen during a HOT SUMMER NIGHT.
lyrics
Hot Summer nights by Roger Specker
Oooh ohh ya….
I walk alone ; It’s such a stormy night
Thunder roars and the lighting strikes.
Tons of people rush through the streets
Bring memories….of the summer heat.
You’re in my heart , you’re in my soul
I need your loving and I need to know
Wherever I go , I see your…face
Whatever I do, I follow your trace !
IT WAS…HOT HOT …don’t you remember, the summer-nights we spend together.
It was hot hot : the cloud hidden moonlight….one look in your eyes, I’ll never forget
ohooho
So I think about you, every day
the things you do and the things you’d say….
My life without you; can never be complete
And I know you are out there, but we meet
Tons of people rush through the streets
Bring memories….of the summer heat.
You’re in my heart , you’re in my soul
I need your loving and I need to know
Wherever I go , I see your…face
Whatever I do, I follow your trace !
IT WAS…HOT HOT …don’t you remember, the summer-nights we spend together.
It was hot hot : the cloud hidden moonlight….one look in your eyes, I’ll never forget
IT WAS…HOT HOT …don’t you remember, the summer nights we spend together.
It was hot hot : the cloud hidden moonlight….one look in your eyes, I’ll never forget
IT WAS…HOT HOT …don’t you remember, the summer nights we spend together.
It was hot hot : the cloud hidden moonlight….one look in your eyes, I’ll never forget
Don’t you remember
Don’t you remember
